Today is an incredibly sad day. An MP has died a result of being shot and stabbed in a despicable and horrific attack.
Jo Cox was a firm supporter of Human Rights, Syrian refugees, social equality and social justice. She will be missed. Her husband said everyone should “unite to fight against the hatred that killed her.”
During the attack, eyewitnesses heard the killer say, “Britain First“, and “Put Britain First”.
The Independent has uncovered details in regards to 52-year-old, Thomas Mair, the alleged killer, is a far-right supporter who advocated and supported South African Apartheid. ‘The Southern Poverty Law Center‘ has also uncovered details that he was “longtime supporter of the neo-Nazi National Alliance” (NA).

Jo died after being shot and stabbed outside her constituency surgery in Birstall, near Leeds.
Officers confirmed a 52-year-old man was arrested shortly after the fatal attack and that a firearm was recovered from the scene.
The arrested man has been named locally as Tommy Mair – who neighbours described as a ‘loner’.
His house, garden and garages to the rear in a nearby street are being combed by forensic police officers. Eyewitnesses reported the attacker was heard to shout “Britain First” during the incident in which Jo was ‘shot three times’.
She was left lying in the scene in a pool of blood by her attacker – who is also said to have kicked her as she lay on the floor before ‘calmly’ walking away.
Eyewitness Hichem Bren Abdallah, who was in a cafe next door, said he saw people screaming as they ran down the road towards the library where the MP’s surgery was being held.
He heard two shots and says he saw a man wearing a “dirty white baseball cap” who then started “jostling with somebody”
