As part of our Ramadan distribution in the conflict-torn country, Islamic Relief provided 1,500 Christian families with parcels packed with essential food staples.
Families in the Ninewa districts of Al-Hamadanya and Ba’sheqa benefitted from the distribution, which was coordinated with the local church.
Fighting also continues in western Iraq, where protracted conflict in Anbar has seen at least 72,000 families fleeing their homes.
Islamic Relief Iraq has been delivering much-needed emergency relief to families caught up in the crisis. Our emergency response programme has seen water, sanitation and hygiene kits distributed, as well as food, clothing and other essential items.
