A court in Jerusalem has found two Israeli settlers guilty of the murder and the kidnapping of a Palestinian kid, Mohammed Abu Khdeir.
Mohammed Abu Khdeir, 16, in the year 2014, 2nd July was kidnapped by three Israelis and subsequently burned alive later in the day.
I doubt any justice will be served on these three terrorists. They have already started making excuses (as they usually do) that one of the main ringleaders who was involved was mentally unstable and thus he cant be responsible for what he did.
The Law in Israel applies differently when a Palestinian does something compare to an Israeli. For example, if the crime was reversed and the perpetrators were Palestinians and the victim Israeli.
The Palestinian perpetrators homes would have been demolished even if the parents weren’t involved, this happens without any due process taking place. Collective punishment is something Israel carries out against Palestinians regularly and they are proud of it.
However, such law does not apply to Israeli Jews when they go on a rampage, burning a kid alive.
France 24 reports:
A Jerusalem court convicted two Israeli minors Monday of the kidnapping and burning alive of a Palestinian teenager in the run-up to last year’s Gaza war, while a third defendant’s mental state will be evaluated.
The 31-year-old, viewed as the ringleader, was found to have committed the crime, but the court held off on convicting him after his lawyers submitted a report in recent days arguing his mental state meant he was not responsible for his actions.
Sentencing for the two who were convicted was set for January 13, while a hearing was scheduled for December 20 for the third defendant, Yosef Haim Ben-David, from the Adam settlement in the occupied West Bank.
Mohammed Abu Khdeir, 16, was abducted and killed on July 2, 2014, weeks after the kidnap and murder of three Israeli teenagers in the West Bank.
The incidents were part of a spiral of violence that led to a 50-day war in the Gaza Strip between Israel and Palestinian militants.
The war killed more than 2,200 people, making 2014 the bloodiest year of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, according to the United Nations.
