Newbie Texas Rep. Molly White pulled a quill from her quiver of insanity today—she’s left some pretty open-hearted instructions to her staff on how to deal with Muslims visiting her office in Austin for Texas Muslim Capitol Day:
“I did leave an Israeli flag on the reception desk in my office with instructions to staff to ask representatives from the Muslim community to renounce Islamic terrorist groups and publicly announce allegiance to America and our laws,” she posted on Facebook. “We will see how long they stay in my office.”
That’s an elected official. Elected. Official. Unpacking the inappropriate nature of that statement could take us all decades. Instead, Mad-Molly’s been getting some pushback on her misunderstanding of democracy and kindness and all-around decency.
