DTT: Would this person be let off easily, given a seven year sentence, if he/she had a Muslim name? The Media attention to this case is deafening. If this person had a Muslim name, even if they had never practised their faith in their life, he/she would be labelled a ‘terrorist’ and the media would’ve reported this for weeks all around the world. At the same time, the Politicians would use this as a pretext to bring in more draconian laws, to demonize the whole Muslim community.

A former soldier has been jailed for seven years for hoarding a huge stash of military grade explosives and ammunition at her Black Country cottage.
Transgender ex-nurse Joanne Morris was caught when airport staff intercepted a parcel containing gun parts addressed to her home in Station Street, Bloxwich.
Joanne Morris, formerly Paul Morris, admitted bomb making charges after police raided her Ivy Cottage home and discovered the largest haul of ammunition and explosives in the West Midlands in the past decade.
The former ambulance dispatcher was arrested following a firearms warrant at her home on November 14 last year, which led to nearby residents, including parts of Bloxwich Police Station, being evacuated.
Search teams found seven sticks of plastic explosives, detonators and fuses buried in a flower bed, plus a rudimentary Improvised Explosive Device (IED) consisting of gun powder and metal caps compressed inside a plastic denture tablets tube.
