Ten reasons why Jesus is not God
1. People look like trees and walking
In the Gospel of Mark Chapter 8 says:
22 They came to Bethsaida, and some people brought a blind man and begged Jesus to touch him.23 He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. When he had spit on the man’s eyes and put his hands on him, Jesus asked, “Do you see anything?” 24 He looked up and said, “I see people; they look like trees walking around.” 25 Once more Jesus put his hands on the man’s eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly. 26 Jesus sent him home, saying, “Don’t even go into the village.”
The story is about a blind man getting healed by Jesus (p). The issue that firstly arises here is that if Jesus was indeed Lord and Saviour as assumed by Trinitarian’s, then how, when he began to heal the blind man did he make a mistake the first time, and accidentally made his eyesight register people as moving trees? A God can make no mistakes, it is just impossible for a God to make a mistake. God need only say and it will pop into existence. Why then did Jesus if he really is God need to perform the healing a second time in order to rectify his mistake?
2. All Authority ‘GIVEN’
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. (Mathew 28:18)
6 “I have manifested Your name to the men whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word. 7 Now they have known that all things which You have given Me are from You. 8 For I have given to them the words which You have given Me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came forth from You; and they have believed that You sent Me. (John 17:6-8)
All authority has been “GIVEN” to Jesus by the Father (God)? How can Jesus be “God” if he was “GIVEN” this authority? So before Jesus was “GIVEN” this “authority”, what was he? He was nobody, what kind of God was he before he was “GIVEN” all this authority? If Jesus is co equal with the Father (God) as claimed by Trinitarian’s, why would Jesus need the Father to give him authority if he is God himself?
3. Jesus Is Tempted
The Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert. There the devil tempted him (Jesus). 2 After 40 days and 40 nights of going without eating, Jesus was hungry.
3 The tempter came to him. He said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.” 8 Finally, the devil took Jesus to a very high mountain. He showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 “If you bow down and worship me,” he said, “I will give you all of this.” 10 Jesus said to him, “Get away from me, Satan! It is written, ‘Worship the Lord your God. He is the only one you should serve.’” 11 Then the devil left Jesus. Angels came and took care of him. (Mathew 4:1-11)
Is it conceivable that an All-Mighty God can become tempted by the devil to whom God created; is God susceptible to being swayed by His own creation? If Jesus is God then there lies some issues for the Bible says:
James 1:13 When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil,nor does he tempt anyone.
It is so clear here that Jesus (pbuh) cannot be God, for he was tempted to do evil. And God cannot be swayed with temptation.
It says in verse 8: Finally, the devil took Jesus to a very high mountain. He showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 “If you bow down and worship me,” he said, “I will give you all of this.”
God, owner of the worlds, the creator of all animate and inanimate objects, the giver of life and death, the sustainer of all. How if Jesus is God can the devil say to a God I shall give you all this, if you worship me? It just is not possible for this scene to occur if the devil was really speaking to God. It is thus self-evident that Jesus is not God for even the devil knew Jesus was not. Hence why he tempted him with such material gains.
Jesus said lastly: ‘Worship the Lord your God. He is the only one you should serve.’ Jesus made it clear that the only person that should be worshipped is God alone and no one else.
4 .The Father is greater than Jesus
‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. John 14:28
Jesus clearly said that the Father (God) is greater than him. Christians will argue and say: that this means that the Father is greater than Jesus in authority but not in essence. But this contradicts Matthew 28:18 where Jesus says all authority is given by the father to him. Another thing to note is, if they are all co-equal as Christians say, how can one be greater than the other?
5. I can of mine own self do nothing
as I hear, I judge: and my judgement is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. John 5:30
Jesus (pbuh) here says it clearly that everything he does, the miracles, forgiving the sins, is not from him but from God Almighty. He does everything by the will of God. If Jesus was God why couldn’t he do whatever he wants, since he is God? Why does HE need to listen to the Father (God) to be granted permission?
6. Not my Doctrine
And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine. (Mathew 7:28)
And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes. ( Mark 1:22)
Jesus answered them, and said the following: My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. He means God almighty. (John 7:16)
So as you see it is clear that Jesus (pbuh) was a prophet of God almighty. The doctrine Jesus taught, which is the Gospel, is not his, but it belongs to the one who sent him, in other words God. If he was God, wouldn’t he be saying this Gospel is my own words, I am God?
7. Is Jesus shy to say ‘I AM GOD?’
You won’t find one verse in the whole Bible where Jesus says “I am God”, Why is that? If Jesus is God, why would he not declare that he is God? Is he shy to say he is God? I mean there are so many passages in the Old Testament where God almighty makes himself clear that he is God, why hasn’t Jesus once said “I am God”? Can I call someone King if he never declared himself to be a King? I am going to show 10 verses where God says he is God in Old Testament:
(A) Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me. (Isaiah 46:9)
(B) Yet I am the Lord thy Godfrom the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me. (Hosea 13:4)
(C) I am the LORD, and there is no other; apart from me there is no God. I will strengthen you, though you have not acknowledged me. Isaiah 45:5)
(D) And God said to him, “I am God Almighty; be fruitful and increase in number. A nation and a community of nations will come from you, and kings will be among your descendants. (Genesis 35:11)
(E) “I have heard the grumbling of the Israelites. Tell them, ‘At twilight you will eat meat, and in the morning you will be filled with bread. Then you will know that “I am the LORD your God.‘(Exodus 16:12)
(F) “I am God, the God of your father,” he said. “Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you into a great nation there. (Genesis 46:3)
(G) “I am the LORD, the God of all mankind.” Is anything too hard for me? (Jeremiah 32:27)
(H) And they shall recompense your lewdness upon you, and ye shall bear the sins of your idols: and ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.(Ezekiel 23:49)
(I) Keep my Sabbaths holy, that they may be a sign between us. Then you will know that “I am the LORD your God.” (Ezekiel 20:20)
(J) “So My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and utter lying divinations. They will have no place in the council of My people, nor will they be written down in the register of the house of Israel, nor will they enter the land of Israel, that you may know that I am the Lord GOD. (Ezekiel 13:9)
8. God alone is good
As Jesus started on his way, a man ran up to him and fell on his knees before him. “Good teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”
18 “Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone. (Mark 10:17-18)
In the above verse a man runs up to Jesus and says “Good teacher” Jesus replies back and says “why do you call me good”? Jesus answered him and said “no one is good except God alone”. If he was really God, why would he differentiate himself, why would he say God ALONE is good? He is making himself clear that God alone is perfect and no one else, not even himself.
9. Jesus don’t know the hour
“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
It is sufficient to say that God alone knows all matters, and that He is aware of all of which we conceal and reveal. However, if Jesus is really God incarnate in flesh, how is it that he is unaware of the time of the coming hour? How is he unable to deduce when the end of time shall come? So, we can say that he doesn’t know thus not making him all-knowing which is an essential attribute of God’s. How can one claim Jesus is God when lacks basic attributes to even be considered a God? Ever asked yourself that question, that if Jesus is actually a part of a three and these are all co-equal how can the son not know the answer?
10. Jesus worshipped God
Jesus (pbuh) bowing down and worshipping God the Father:
(A) Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.” (Mathew 26:39)
(B) He went away a second time and prayed, “My Father,if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.” (Mathew 26:42)
(C) Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. (Mark 1:35)
(D) They went to a place called Gethsemane, and Jesus said to his disciples, “Sit here while I pray.” (Mark 14:32)
(E) Going a little farther, he fell to the ground and prayedthat if possible the hour might pass from him. (Mark 14:35)
(F) One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God. (Luke 6:12)
(G) He withdrew about a stone’s throw beyond them, knelt down and prayed. (Luke 22:41)
(H) And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground. (Luke 22:44)
Did Jesus just pray to himself? And why did he do this? A God is in no need of peoples prayer, rather people are in need of the prayer. So, who exactly is the creator worshipping?
Jesus says: But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth. (John 4:23)
Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: “Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’ (Mathew 4:10)
If Jesus said ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only’, why do Trinitrian’s continue to worship Jesus? After reading through all of this it is just so obvious that Jesus cannot be God. If you continue to worship the creation rather than the creator you will only be bringing disaster in to your lives for you are neglecting the verses that argue on the contrary to the popular belief. O people, worship your Lord who is One, who resembles not the creation and one who cannot be contained in a particular direction nor contained within a specific place. God is far beyond any human conception.

Thank you for your comment. I have read the Bible. I didn’t twist anything in this article. I gave you the verses, what it says. What I wrote is very clear that Jesus cannot be God.
you can never understand the bible with your head….. coz spiritual things are discerned spiritual its only the Holy Spirit who can reveal them to you if you would let Him in. owise Jesus is God and i could show you the entire bible witnessing to this fact.
You have given the reason why jesus christ is not God, because it’s not giving to you to know the mystery of God,as jesus said, but for those who are giving to know can testified that jesus christ is Lord, now while the jews people are waiting for messiah, which means anointed one, christ,son of God, they knew the meaning of christ or son of God, it simple mean God in human form,
But before jesus came the prophet ezekiel 17v2 prophesied concerned him and said son of man I have sent you in to the house of israel that you will speak to them in riddles and parables, now when jesus christ come he was speaking to the jews leaders with riddles and parables in order to open their eyes in knowledge, because of that jesus did not tell them that he is God rather jesus show them that he is God, by taking the position of God,
1) he told them that before abraham was,I am, thereby taking the divine name of God to himself exodus 3v14.
2) when the jews ask him to tell them wether he is the christ, he said yes I.told you but you didn’t believe, all the good works i show you from God from which one do you want to stone me but the jews said for good work we stone you not but for blasphemy because you being man but making yourself God,

I understand frustration, but we will never get anyone to want to listen if we badger and insult them. True story here, I over heard a mouthy Jehovah witness talk about Christmas being wrong and all. She was such a noise to my ears that I tuned her out. A year later, not because of her, the spirit of Yah showed me truths, that was 12 years ago now. I could have been on year 13! You get my point. We need to visualize how Yahusha would have responded, KINDNESS and in truth….. Would you listen to anyone calling you names? No! Its easy to lose it with people,. Jesus is not Jehovah YAH. The bible proves The Father is God alone Who gave His only begotten Son to be the final sacrifice for us all. Now in times passed the people would have to sacrifice a spotless animal. So you need to humble yourself and honor The Father who gave His only begotten Son. So when you accept this knowledge then your love for The Father will grow in His Son Jesus.

If you believe that jesus is son of God, but he is not God then you contradict yourself because God did not have a wife neither did he creat jesus, so how come did jesus exist.
But John 1v1 made it clear that in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God, and you know that jesus is the word of God and the word of God is God himself

I don’t get it….If the Christians are trying to tell you that these scriptures are not being defined correctly…and especially since historic Christianity holds to Jesus being God. How can you say this is what these scriptures mean?
I agree! That’s why I’m a Biblical Unitarian!! Jesus is the Son of God not the one God of Israel!! That is state in Deuteronomy 6:4!! Jesus is a sinless man who was made lord and Christ by God!! I despise deity of Christ doctrines!!

When I have heard people say ” All I need is Jesus” that has bothered me as well as a lot of the Christian rhetoric I have heard. I also have wondered why we don’t see the same miracles we read about in the bible. Unlike the replies I have read about your article, you bring up some good points and I thank you. I believe it was purposed for me to read this and now it is btn me and God. Respect.

Please read John 1-14 to know that who is Jesus and from where he came. God became a man and came to earth to reveal Him to the man, who does not know God and could not understand God. If Jesus is not God and only man, what is his father name ? Do n’t you believe that no human will born on this earth without a father/man. You should have the knowledge of God to understand Jesus Christ. Also you need the Holy spirit to understand the spiritual which is the Word of God.
Its hard to listen to truth when we have been so ingrained otherwise. Been there. Read the Torah once through. Then again. You will notice patterns, truths and things you never remembered reading. Yah’s spirit will show you if you are sincere to search. I remember when I was first learning how the Hebrew bible was originally written, meaning I needed to learn a middle eastern mindset. Do you know that even Muslims understand the Torah? They don’t follow the God of Israel, but they understand the way of life and meaning. I stumbled on this website, but I already knew this, I didn’t recall most of it though. 🙂 The father’s name is (YHVH) Original Hebrew was all consonants, no vowels. I spell it Yahovah, I believe this is a variation to his name. Look in the front of your bible, seriously. Most actually have the tetragrammaton in there. I was in my late 40’s when I read it in my KJV…. I stopped going to Christian/Catholic churches because nothing made sense. Christmas/Easter Chocolate egg laying bunnies? Santa claus, redone by the Coca-cola Co. to get people to drink their soda during the winter??? Seriously! If its Yahusha’s birthday, why do we give EACH OTHER presents???

Jesus himself says that he is the Messiah and IN GOD and WITH GOD. And GOD IS IN HIM.
They together are one.
Jesus is said to be the WORD OF GOD many times in the bible. As well as by John who was with Jesus himself. If only God is perfect, how can his word also be perfect. God’s word must be perfect, therefore Jesus is GOD.
In the Old testament – Torah, It is prophesised that the messiah would die for our iniqueties. The Jewish ‘Forbidden chapter’ is Isiah 53, prophesying Jesus dying on the cross. Why would we need Jesus who you claim to be a mere man or prophet, to die on the cross for the whole world’s Sins? What would make a mere man so important for God to sacrafice him for the whole world’s sins?
Jesus said he was the only way of the truth and life and no one comes to the father but through him.
He cannot be mere man in this sense.
Catholism is a Cult. I left myself. They twist the bible.

Historic Christianity doesn’t hold to Jesus being God!! You don’t research enough. With all due respect. Believers in God as a single person (God the Father), were “at the beginning of the third century still forming the large majority” (Ency Britannica; 11th Ed Vol. 23; p. 963).

Examine the New Testament. We see, therein, Christ, the man. If we study the accounts from his birth onwards. We cannot arrive at a picture that is different from that of a human being.

– Jesus exercises obedience through his patience (Ebriar 5:8).
– Jesus experiences hunger (Mark 11:12).
– Jesus experiences thirst (John 19:28).
– Jesus sleeps (Matthew 8:24).
– Jesus is fatigued in a journey (John 4:6).
– Jesus sighs in anxiety (John 11:33).
– Jesus weeps (John 11:35).
– Jesus grieves (Matthew 26:37).
– Jesus exerts his strength (John 2:13).
– Jesus exhorts unto the taking up of the sword (Luke 22:36).
– Jesus fears the Jews (John 18:12,13).
– Jesus is betrayed (John 18:2).
– Jesus is captured (John 18:12,13)
– Jesus is humiliated (Matthew 26:67)
– Jesus is beaten (John 18:22)
– Jesus fears death (Mark 14:36).
– Jesus prays to God (Matthew 26:42).
– A messenger from heaven appears so that Jesus may be strengthened (Luke 22:43).
Let us now think. Is Jesus God or was he human?
Common sense answers that he is, indeed, human. A great messenger!
The Holy Quran had been right all along: “O people of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) a messenger of Allah, and his Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a Spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His Messengers. Say not ‘Three’: desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is One God: glory be to Him: (Far Exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs.” (Quran 4:171)
The Gospel of God
Jesus Christ was the messenger of God who was appointed amongst the Israelites. He had himself said: “leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift.” (Matthew 5:24). His mission was to bring back the Israelites, who had deviated from the Divine path, to the religion of truth.
The Gospel (Injeel) was the scripture that was revealed to Jesus. He had invited the Israelites towards the path of Truth by preaching the Gospel.
Jesus had taught : ” ‘The time has come,’ he said, ‘The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!'” (Mark 1:15). “Firstly, the good news must be preached to all people.” (Mark 14:9)
Where is the Gospel, which God had revealed to Jesus Christ, to be found today? Will we ever get a complete picture of the Gospel which Jesus had preached if we are to search the whole of the Bible thoroughly? No. The New testament contain the gospels of Matthew, Mark and John. Where then is the ‘Gospel of God’ that was preached by Jesus to be found today?
The ‘Gospel of God’ preached by Jesus Christ is not extant today. Like all the previous divine scriptures which were revealed before it, it, too, has become long forgotten now.
There is but one single religious scripture that has maintained the original purity with which it was revealed. That is the Holy Quran. The Quran is, furthermore, the only book which, on its own, professes to be divine. The Quran is the book which has remained unconquered for fourteen centuries in the face of all the scientific and technological revolutions witnessed by the world.
The Quran was revealed to the world through Muhammad (e) who was prophesied by Jesus as the one who was to come as his successor (John 16:7-14).
Those who desire to obey Jesus and attain to life eternal must, necessarily, follow the Quran as well as the life of Muhammad (e) which was based on it. That is the path of eternal salvation.
I read John 16:7-14… The Messiah is talking about the Holy Spirit, which is the spirit of the father.
May I ask you a question? I ask with a humble heart, no offence is intended. I see a correlation between the Quran and the prophet Muhammed and Mormonism and John Smith. They both allegedly had visions. So I am wondering why? If I am seeking truth somewhere but I see the same pattern, wouldn’t it make one feel suspect? Just asking, I am actually looking for truth. Catholicism is a more glorified off-shoot of the 3 in 1 god which Christianity took off from. Originating at the tower of Babel/Bavel (2200BC approx).
Here comes a serious question, I am sure I will get flack for asking, but it is a legit question and many people are afraid of asking. How can one learn if you don’t ask. From what I have read Islam started approx 600AD….. I heard it said the Muhammed was related to Ishmael, Abraham’s son. If Abraham is the Father to both religions, who did Ishmael worship? I think He worshipped YHVH like his father. All those generations down to Muhammed, who did they worship, what is the name of that god? This I have never read. Its a question I personally have never seen asked . Christianity I am sure you know is as pagan as Nimrod himself. Emporer Constantine created Christianity about 325AD. Its sad that most Christians do not even know that part of their religion that they boast about. I Timothy 3:16 does not say “God was manifested in the flesh.” Ask someone to tell you about the original Greek in that verse. It does not say “God” in that verse.
